AQC Group
AQC Group operates as a quality auditor providing certification services specifically for disability service providers, undertaking both Certification and Verification audits against the NDIS Practice Standards with a clear mission to ensure Disability Service Providers comply with the safety and quality standards set out in the NDIS Practice Standards. Their dedication centres on helping providers have a positive impact on people with disability through comprehensive assessment processes that support both compliance and service excellence.
The organisation's approach to NDIS auditing encompasses both verification assessments for individual sole traders and partnerships delivering lower risk or less complex services, and certification assessments for higher risk, more complex services and for organisations formed as body corporates. AQC Group's methodology involves a thorough two-stage process for certification audits, beginning with Stage 1 audits typically completed off-site where providers supply completed self-assessments along with supporting documentation such as policies and procedures for auditor review.
Following successful completion of Stage 1, providers progress to Stage 2 audits conducted onsite for certification audits, where AQC Group's auditors visit NDIS Provider offices to observe and interview staff and participants whilst assessing compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards through comprehensive document review. Once assessment is concluded, detailed reports are prepared and sent to providers, with all audit findings communicated clearly throughout the process to provide opportunities for additional evidence submission as required to support compliance.
AQC Group maintains their commitment to supporting NDIS providers through the complete audit lifecycle, recognising that registered NDIS Providers must undergo both Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits every three years to have their Certificate of registration renewed. They also support newly registered NDIS Providers in the certification assessment category who are required to undertake surveillance audits every 18 months, whilst sole traders and entities delivering lower risk services undergo verification assessment processes tailored to their specific requirements and service delivery models.
